Ericsson Invest in Start-ups

Ericsson has introduced its start-up challenge to offer entrepreneurs an opportunity for a venture capital investment and technology incubation exposure.
The Swedish company has invited start-ups to participate in Ericsson Start-up Challenge 2017 for a chance to win technology incubation with the Ericsson Garage global network, unlimited access to a smart city test bed and an express pass to a final decision investment meeting.
Ericsson Garage is an in-house incubator that explores opportunities to develop tangible prototypes in new areas, together with partners.
The competition will require start-ups to tackle issues that include looking at how technology can empower smart and sustainable transport in the future and how to address Internet of things data privacy, identity management and security in a smart city.
Furthermore, the start-ups will explore how sensors, robotics and artificial intelligence can make small and medium manufacturers smart and sustainable.
Nine start-ups will be selected to pitch their ideas in front of a live dragon’s den at the Ericsson studio, in collaboration with the STHLM Tech Fest.
