The art of winning IT and Telecoms award across in Africa by Medallion Communications Limited resonated at the Second Edition of the Nigeria Tech Innovation and Telecom Awards(NTITA) 2019 held in Lagos, South West Nigeria at the weekend winning the Pioneer Data Centre Award for the year.
Managing Director of the company, Engr. Ike Nnamani won the Data Centre Personality of the Year for his work in the promotion of data centre business impact on the Nigeria economy.
In the previous year it won three separate awards namely: Data Center of the Year, Telecom Support Company of the Year and that was beside others it had won in Ghana.
At the event which was organised by the Association Telecommunications Companies of Nigeria(ATCON) in collaboration with the InsticntWa, began in 2017 to recognise companies that have impacted the Nigerian economy through their creativity and innovation was organised
Nnamani who was excited about the awards, said that he was grateful to his staff for their contribution towards winning of the awards and dedicated it to them.
President, Association of Telecommunications Companies of Nigeria, (ATCON), Mr. Olusola Teniola said that he was excited about the progress that the industry has made despite the number of challenges ranging from multiple taxation, foreign direct investment issues, right of way issues, multiple regulation and a host of others.
Chief Executive Officer, Instinctwave Africa, Mr. Akin Naphtali said that the event was organised out of the passion to add value to the growth of the industry and to continue to encourage the companies despite the daunting challenges that they face.
He said that the category for the 2018 edition was increased to further recognise more organisation that were not in the first edition.
According to him, the prestigious award has quickly become the benchmark for outstanding performance and a symbol of excellence in leadership in the highly competitive technology industry.
