Minister, NITDA DG & Other Delegates Tour Nigerian Stand at GITEX 2022 in Dubai

The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Pantami, joined by Director General, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Mr Kashifu Inuwa, other CEOs under the ministry, toured Nigerian Startups Booth, and met young Nigerians participating at the 2022 edition of GITEX Global taking place in Dubai, UAE.


The following are the Nigerian startups featuring at the event. They are the winners of the GITEX 2022 North Star Pitch Competition.

1. FLOEWS: Flood Early Warning System, it’s an all-round solution that monitors and forecast flood imminence and, thereby disseminating the forecast data as warning to the inhabitants of flood prone regions for early preparedness, awareness and response.

2. Medtech Africa, a Nigerian-based startup leveraging Artificial Intelligence and Apps to enable Caregivers to treat and manage patients living with Cardiovascular Disease using the Patient’s own data.

3. PowerStove, an Award Winning smokeless clean cook stove that burns 70% less biomass, saves lives, generate electricity, improve livelihoods, empower women, and preserve the environment.

4. Edusko, a one-stop, web-based application that allows parents to compare good schools, make informed decisions, access finance to pay for school fees and enrol their children with ease.

5. Quidro Tech Ltd, is Fintech company that helps Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to have access to funds.
