Nigeria, USA Base Cyber Security Experts to Tackle Public Cloud Challenges at Lagos Conference

A group of cyber security experts in Nigeria and their counterparts base in the USA are expected in Lagos, South-West Nigeria to give insights on how to tackle security challenges relating to public cloud deployment.


The conference, a partnership initiative of eFortresses CloudeAssurance and HISPI will examine external threat to Nigeria businesses and cyber security barrier to the adoption of public cloud in Nigeria.

According to the Group Managing Director of Comercio Limited, an ICT Solution Company, Mrs. Aderonke Adeyegbe,the conference with the theme: “The Business of Cyber Security & Cloud in 21st Century Nigeria” will address the instability of the Nigeria power and telcomms infrastructure as well as how it makes the cost of operating on-premise servers astronomical for both commercial and government sectors.

She added that the issue of sovereign integrity for sensitive information stored in public cloud needs will be tackled by the experts noting that the commercial and public sector is lagging behind.

Adeyegbe stated that the conference will be anchored by Global Cyber Security expert and Founder of eFortresses CloudeAssurance, HISPI, Mr. Taiye Lambo and former CISO of the City of Atlanta, Georgia, USA alongside other seasoned leaders in the Cyber Security area of interest such as the CISO, CBN, Rakiya Mohammed; Founder/CEO Interswitch, Mitchell Elegbe; Director Afenoids and Former CISO, Galaxy Backbone, Opeyemi Onifade and the Managing Partner, Technology Advisors LLP, Basil Udotai.

The experts will also be speaking on and addressing business pain-points such as the human capital for cyber security and cloud is very limited in Nigeria and the Nigerian narrative and brand of Cyber criminals needs to be changed to that of ethical Cyberists.
