The interest of foreign and local partners in fast-tracking the digital acceleration program for the growth of startup in the Nigerian tech ecosystem have continued grow.
Only recently, the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), engaged foreign partners on digital inclusiveness to accelerate the development of a digital economy for Nigerians.
The latest engagement was that of CISCO, a worldwide leader in technology that powers the Internet with focus on networking, collaboration solutions, security solutions, wireless and mobility, data center, IoT, video, analytics, and software solutions.
In this engagement, NITDA was in partnership and collaboration with stakeholders, throughout value chain, and across the industry.
Director General and CEO of NITDA, Mr Kashifu Inuwa, said the engagement was spurred by the Strategic RoadMap and Action Plan (SRAP 2021-2024) adding that NITDA collaborate with CISCO started since 2019 when an MOU was signed, to build an incubation center that will foster digital skills and job creation for Nigerian citizens.
The engagement has allowed NITDA to multiply its efforts and scale her impact, the Agency boss said.
He recently led some members of his team to the SharpSharp Startup Company, one of the winners during the 2022 Gulf International Technology Exhibition (GITEX) in Dubai, on facility tour with the aim of facilitating collaboration between the startup and CISCO.
