
The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) is set to hold a 5-day conference and exhibition of Digital Nigeria with series of exciting and impactful activities, and with the theme: DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION: A Path to Sustainable Digital Economy.
According to statement by the Head, Corporate Affairs and External Relations Department of NITDA, Mrs. Hadiza Umar, the event, which is holding from 25″ to 27 October 2022 International Conference Centre, Abuja, the Nigerian capital city, is hosted in collaboration with other relevant stakeholders from both the public and the private sectors as well as Non-Governmental Organisations and Academia.
The National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (NDEPS) was launched at the 11 edition of the
eNigeria conference and exhibition by President Muhammadu Buhari, in 2020.
She noted that the event coincides with the Digital Nigeria Day, which is October 24, a date that was declared by the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari in 2020, a day designated to promote the development of the Digital
Economy in Nigeria.
She added that the Digital Nigeria Conference week serves as a platform for ICT awareness creation, development of
appropriate regulatory instruments and best practices to facilitate the positioning of Nigeria in the global Information Society.
The key features of the 5-day conference and exhibition of Digital Nigeria include a master class, the celebration of Digital Nigeria day, presentation of conference papers by experts in the industry and then an Award Night.
She said that he discussions will focus on the following sub-themes:
1. Digital Transformation: Digital Policies, Human Capital, Infrastructure, and other relevant initiatives.
as prerequisites to building a Digital Nigeria.
2 Data Protection and National Security Evolution and Evaluation of Data Security in Nigeria; Harnessing Data to solve insecurity problems.
3. Emerging Technologies: Harnessing Emerging Technologies towards building a Digital Nigeria; and Opportunities of Digital Currencies for the Nigerian Economy.
4. Digital Inclusion: Nigerian Digital Footprints for Digital Economic prosperity Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Innovative Exploration in creating Digital Enterprises; Nigerian start-up ecosystem.
5. Digital Nigeria International Conference and Exhibition also provides the opportunities for the exhibition of indigenous solutions and services by start-ups, innovation hubs and international enterprises and companies across
diverse sectors.
Umar said that exhibition booths are available to organisations to showcase products and services adding that interested partners are invited to advertise their products and services in the Digital Nigeria International Conference brochure.
