Visa Plans First African Data Center in Nigeria, Flags-Off Internship Opportunity to Up-Skill Youth

Visa plans to establish its first African data center in Nigeria Africa.

Chairman of Visa Incorporated, the American multinational financial services corporation, Mr Alfred F. Kelly made this know during a working visit to Nigeria’s Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof Isa Pantami.

Kelly further said that Visa plans to build an Engineering Centre in Nigeria to support the technological ecosystem of the country adding that is will set-up an Internship Opportunities for Nigerians with a view of up-skilling more youth of the country.

Kelly also extended an invitation to the Minister to serve as a judge during the Visa Everywhere Initiative, a global innovation program that tasks start-ups to solve the payment challenges of tomorrow.

The Visa team was at the Communications and Digital Economy Complex, Abuja to brief the Minister about their activities and also explore areas of collaboration.
