Nigeria innovation today unveiled a new project designed to build digitally empower civil servant, the initiative would see the introduction digital innovation and technology into governance in all levels government.
The Minister of Communication, Innovation and Digital, Dr Bosun Tijani who announced the project to on his verified X handle, said, “Today, we announce #DevsInGovernment, a community of the technology workforce of the Federal Government of Nigeria who are passionate about advancing technology and digital transformation in government.”
He disclosed that digitalisation of public services is both an innovation and workforce optimisation challenge, saying that “to further drive efficiency in the delivery of public services, we are committed to empowering and driving collaboration amongst technologists and tech enthusiast within the Nigerian public sector.
According to him, this community will help champion Digital Public Infrastructure initiative aimed at transforming public services calling for registration.
