GITEX Nigeria: NITDA Extends Invitation to Bayelsa as Diriyi Unveils N750m Innovation Fund

Ahead of the GITEX Nigeria, the National Information Technology Development Agency, (NITDA) is on the way towards getting support from the public sector.

Specifically, the Bayelsa State Government the awarded ₦250 million and ₦500 million interest-free loans to two standout innovators and announced plans for an IT knowledge centre in partnership with NITDA.

Governor Douye Diri who made this know at the Bayelsa State E-Commerce Entrepreneurship Programme (BEEP) 2025, said that the move reinforcing Bayelsa’s future as a digital hub.

Speaking at the event, the Director General of NITDA, Mr Kashifu Inuwa emphasised the power of technology and digital platforms in transforming local businesses into global enterprises.

He encouraged entrepreneurs to leverage e-commerce, digital tools, and innovation to grow beyond physical and geographic limitations.

Inuwa shared insights on customer engagement, product marketing, and launching lean, tech-driven startups, and invited Bayelsa entrepreneurs to participate in the upcoming GITEX Nigeria for global exposure.
