Nigeria’s leading telecommunication’s company MTN Nigeria Plc will today in Lagos south West Nigeria unveil its new data centre of nine megawatts capacity, a development the Chief Executive Officer of the company, Dr Karl Toriola described as a landmark achievement for the company.
At a media chat in the company’s boardroom, and in company of top management staff of the yello brand, Toriola revealed that MTN Nigeria will receive the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr Bosun Tijani to commission the data center.
He said that what would be unveiled today is the first phase of the nine megawatts green energy data center adding that the cost for the entire project is put at about $265 million.
Expected at the commissioning are top executives of the telecoms industry in Nigeria.
