In a new study conducted by experts at Proxyrack and have analysed the percentage of the population using VPNs, the restriction status of pornography, VPNs, and torrents, as well as the percentage of internet users in each country of the 10 selected countries of the world, Nigeria appear on top of the ranking.
Nigeria is the least censored country with an overall score of 0.15 out of 10. It also have no restrictions on pornography, VPN’s and no bans on Torrents.
According to the study, the top three countries that use the internet the most are the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, with all at 100.0% while Nigeria was ranked the least. All three countries also have restrictions on VPN’s.
Saudi Arabia is one of the top 3 most restricted countries. VPN’s are also restricted which is why only 27.1% have adopted the use of these private networks.
The United Arab Emirates has also banned any form of torrents, where residents in the country could face a fine or even jailtime if caught torrenting files.
