By The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has formed a partnership with Dubai-based Afrovision Technologies (Doballi) to give Nigerian tech talent with global opportunities.
According to NITDA, this strategic cooperation is a watershed moment in Nigeria’s effort to transform its youth digital talent into an economic powerhouse.
The alliance directly addresses Nigeria’s perplexing paradox: despite producing world-class software developers, data scientists, and cybersecurity specialists, many struggle to get overseas jobs due to structural hurdles.
Under the new agreement, Doballi will use its AI-powered recruitment platform to connect vetted Nigerian professionals with Fortune 500 companies and tech giants in North America, Europe, and the Middle East, while eliminating the standard $150 assessment fee for Nigerian candidates.
NITDA, for its part, will use its 3 Million Technical Talent program to deliver rigorously trained personnel.
“This isn’t just about job creation, it is about strategically positioning Nigeria as the go-to source for premium digital talent,” declared NITDA director-general Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi during the signing ceremony.
“We’re building an export economy where our brightest minds can compete globally without leaving home, bringing foreign earnings and cutting-edge expertise back to our ecosystem.”
Doballi’s country director, Nneoma Ijei, expressed confidence in the collaboration, stating that it will boost remote employment opportunities and drive economic growth in Nigeria.
“As the world grapples with a growing demand for tech talents, Africa stands ready to lead, with Nigeria at the forefront. With its young, vibrant, and innovative workforce, the continent is poised to redefine the future of technology and drive global innovation,” Ijei said.
