NITDA Showcases Nigeria’s Rich Cybersecurity Landscape at GISEC Global 2025

National Information Development Agency(NITDA) showcased the potentials of the Nigeria’s cybersecurity landscape at GISEC Global 2025 thereby opening opportunities for investment.
Speaking at the global, Director General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa unveiled to the Dubai World Trade Centre Nigeria’s cybersecurity landscape and efforts made by the Nigerian government to continously improve Nigeria’s cybersecurity posture in an Artifical Intelligence (AI) era.
Inuwa who was represented by Dr Ayodele Bakare harped on NITDA’s role in commitment to international collaboration in cybersecurity.
Additionally, Dr. Zareefa Mustapha and Dr. Aisha Salau also participated in different sessions and cyber drills, which provided the opportunity to showcase Nigeria’s contributions to the global cybersecurity landscape.
This premier cybersecurity event convened over 25,000 professionals from 160+ countries and featured 750+ global cybersecurity brands. The conference focused on “Securing an AI-Powered Future,” addressing the challenges and opportunities presented by AI in cybersecurity.
Key highlights included the launch of the OT Security Conference Track, addressing the convergence of IT and operational technology, and the Africa Cyber Resilience Initiative, fostering continent-wide defenses through dedicated roundtables with CISOs and national authorities.
GISEC AI showcased pressing topics like polymorphic malware, adversarial AI, and deepfake scams, marking it as the year’s largest AI in cybersecurity showcase.
NITDA’s engagement underscored its commitment to international collaboration in cybersecurity, aligning with Nigeria’s digital transformation goals.
