Global Smartphone Maker, Xiaomi Brings to Nigeria 10,000 mAh Capacity REDMI 17 Note Series

Global smartphone maker, Xiaomi yesterday in Lagos, Southwest Nigeria unveiled to a larger number of journalists, content creators and mobile phone dealers her latest in the REDMI series.

The all evening event, which offered guests an electrifying entertainment of all genre brought into the smartphone is now the talk in the town, the REDMI Note 17 Series.

The device, the latest generation of its best-selling smartphone lineup, was introduced into the Nigeria market in four new models, including the first-ever Pro Max model-REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G.

Speaking at the unveiling event, Country Manager Xiaomi, Mr Vandy revealed that the REDMI Note 17 series offers smartphone lovers a first of its kind mobile device of 10000 mAh battery capacity similar to the type that power banks offer.

Speaking further, he said: “With the REDMI Note 17 Series, we are delivering on our core promise: premium innovation made accessible to everyone without sacrificing longevity. By introducing REDMI Titan Quality and up to six years of security updates, we are offering Nigerian consumers a device engineered to perform like new for years to come.”

The REDMI Note 17 Series provides substantially larger batteries and faster charging for extended endurance, enhanced water and drop resistance, and an all-new design language, bringing long-lasting reliability to the mid-range segment and delivering on REDMI’s vision of a smartphone built for years.

Indeed, the launch marks a major milestone with the REDMI Note Series now surpassing 500 million shipments worldwide according to global reports, which also noted that generation after generation, the series has stayed true to what earned that trust: “premium products made accessible, and premium quality across every product.

Also speaking at the evening event, the Chief Executive Officer of Finet, Dr Fred Nnadike stated: “As Xiaomi’s distribution partner, we are proud to expand the reach of the REDMI Note 17 Series across Nigeria. The exceptional battery endurance and structural toughness directly address the demands of Nigerian smartphone users who require absolute reliability for work and everyday connectivity.”

Earlier during an interview with the media, he said: “The Note 17 series is quite phenomenal in terms of the innovation that is put into it. In the sense that it has 10,000 mAh battery and this is the very first in the industry in Nigeria here. I mean, it’s a major breakthrough in the industry.”

Speaking further on the uniqueness of the REDMI Note 17 battery, Nnadike said: “I’m sure we all know how difficult it is to move your mobile phone when your power is completely down. With the design of this phone and the reliable power capacity of this phone, you are able to use your phone without worrying about power being low or out of power. The point here is that we all know that an average power bank has 10,000 mAh battery.”

According to him,  Xiaomi did this to be able to meet the fundamental needs of Nigerian users saying that  both professionals, both students, business people and as well as content creators and everyone wants reliable power and “this design of the Titan Power Go Pro is not just about battery.”

Nnadike added: “It goes beyond that to being able to provide a solution to the needs of an average Nigerian user. And that’s the point about this particular device today. Apart from battery and power, which other features does this phone have? The reliable quality of the device is something that stands out.”
