By Human capital development, is a key component of the NDP-SRAP 2023-2027 of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), the National Commissioner, Dr Vincent Olatunji, has said.
The National Commissioner, who made this known while delivering his opening remarks at a capacity-building workshop organised by the Commission in partnership with Huawei Technologies, commended the Huawei team for their global efforts, particularly in Nigeria, and their support for the commission’s mission to promote Data Protection and Privacy.
He emphasised the need for stakeholders adhere to global best practices and underscored the synergy within the ecosystem.
He encouraged participants to apply the knowledge gained in their respective organisations to foster a culture of Data Protection in Nigeria.
During the workshop, Head of Tech and Data, Fieldfisher, Dr. Felix Wittern, facilitated the session on ‘EU Perspective on Solutions to Challenges under Privacy Law Using GDPR Mechanisms’.
