By The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr Aminu Maida said that Nigeria and Sierra Leone shared the same challenges in their respective telecommunications industry.
Maida made this known while hosting the Sierra Leone Minister of Communications, Technology and Innovation, Ms Salima Bah, who was in Nigeria for official visit.
He said, “we shared the successes and challenges of the telecommunications industry in Nigeria and Sierra Leone, it was evident that though we differ in economies, populations, and geography.”
According to him, both countries also share similar challenges and success stories, saying, “this gives credence to the call for greater unity and collaboration within the continent. By comparing notes, we can pick lessons from each other.”
He expressed hope of deeper collaboration between the telecommunication industry of the two countries.
