By The future of Nigeria’s digital ecosystem is on the front burner at the 13th Regular Meeting of the National Council on Communication, Innovation and Digital Economy (NCCIDE), currently taking place in Jos, Plateau State, where the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) is participating in alongside other critical stakeholders from the public and private sector.
The high-level gathering, with the themed “Accelerating Inclusive Digital Transformation: Bridging the Gaps and Fostering Sustainable Growth through Innovation,” serves as a strategic platform for shaping the future of Nigeria’s digital ecosystem.
Organised by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy in collaboration with the Plateau State Government, the meeting brings together key stakeholders, including policymakers, industry leaders, technology experts, innovators, development partners, and representatives from federal and state MDAs.
Their collective mandate is to review ongoing initiatives, identify challenges, and design forward-looking strategies that will strengthen digital inclusion, deepen innovation, and promote sustainable socio-economic development across the country.
Through panel discussions, technical presentations, and policy deliberations, the Council aims to harmonise national efforts toward building a resilient and inclusive digital economy—one that empowers citizens, expands opportunities, and positions Nigeria competitively within the global digital landscape.
NITDA’s participation reinforces its commitment to advancing technological innovation, promoting digital skills development, and ensuring that technology remains a key driver of national growth, efficiency, and transformation.
